"We teach essential life-saving skills," explained group founder Rachel Winters while distributing unmarked brown paper bags containing the group's merchandise—baseball caps emblazoned with "It's just a car, not a personality disorder."

Members attend twice-weekly "Charging Shame" therapy sessions, where they role-play the excruciatingly awkward small talk required when spotted at public charging stations. Popular scenarios include practicing phrases like "I'm actually selling it next week" and "The lease was just too good to pass up."

The group's official handbook, "Running on Empty: Navigating Life When Your Car Choice Suddenly Defines You," features breakthrough workshops like "Retroactive Purchase Explanation," where members practice maintaining eye contact while insisting "I only bought it for the tax credit" with conviction.

"Before Tesla Anonymous, I wore sunglasses and a fake mustache to my daughter's school dropoff," admitted Kyle Brenner.
